How are you preparing to witness The Mystery? This is a very different question from, Are your Christmas decorations hung? Have you purchased any gifts for the ones you love? How is it possible to school ourselves to better "see" and "hear" and participate in, The Mystery?

Something that is helping me 'see' God and to be more aware of his presence is the decsion to change the usual ways fo celebrating this season. Having decided to give events as gifts - my gift to one daughter is a home cooked meal, to another is to go to another daughter's house and prepare a glorious breakfast for her, her husband and children. that kind of thing - to give of me and do something that strengthens out relationships - that is is something that will not get thrown away, get forgotten, etc. In doing that , I 'see' a tidbit of who God is and what he is about.
