Advent is a season of turning. What images speak to you, this day, of your own need to "turn away" and also, to "turn toward"?

Usually I need some sort of 2x4 - some jolting event, to remind me to "turn towards" Jesus. I am perpetually trying to fix things myself....oh that I would learn more quickly!
What captured me about this reading was the idea that our turning is a response to love - and I think there is much about the love of God I do not understand and I think this is a wish for myself - that my love for him would become my daily motivator!
